Oscars 2023: 10 films you must see before the film awards show

3. The Banshees of Inisherin

An interesting story about friendship, starring Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson. On an island near Ireland, Pádraic is devastated when his friend Colm suddenly interrupts their lifelong friendship. With the help of his sister and a young villager, Pádraic is determined to fix the situation by any means necessary. It doesn't go exactly as planned, as he issues an ultimatum that leads to shocking consequences.

4. AfterSun

The British film After Sun is considered by many to be one of the best films of the past year. The story is about 11-year-old Sophie (Frankie Corio) and her father Callum (Mescal), who they spend the summer together on vacation in Turkey before the start of the new school year and her return to her mother. In addition, the film dealt with family relationships in an excellent way - a father who got divorced early and a daughter who is growing up.

5. Women Talking

The film "Women Talking" is set in an isolated religious colony, a Mennonite community. Women try to come to terms with their faith after a series of sexual assaults. This film is based on the true story described by Miriam Toews in the novel of the same name. The film stars Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley and Frances McDormand.

6. Tar

The distinguished conductor Lydia Tár has a great career, but at some point it will seem like she is everything against her. 7. Triangle of fruits
