Oštarija Žogica is more than just an oštarija. It is a small oasis of excellent food, natural beauty and friendly people. It lies in the shelter of nature, Sabotina and Sveta Gora, with a view of the unique stone bridge under which the emerald river Soča flows. The chef does his job more than conscientiously, because for him cooking is an art. The first commandment, which is never broken at Žogica, is the freshness of the ingredients. From home-grown herbs all the way to herbs gathered in the home garden. The guide when preparing house specialties is very simple. The dishes are diverse and are a mixture of sea, karst and traditional farm flavors. Freshly baked bread from the bread oven awaits us on the table every day. On Sundays, we are served trout and juicy legs. They prepare the frtalja for us in such a way that we additionally lick our fingers. Meat dishes are said to melt in the mouth. As befits an oštaria in the Goriška region, they also have a very wide range of excellent wines that complement the gourmet experience. We will enjoy the beautiful atmosphere and excellent food all the more if we take the time for the whole experience and make a reservation in advance.
