Panerai presents the limited edition Panerai Submersible Elux Lab-ID

Known for its bold innovations and masterful watchmaking, Panerai has unveiled a new limited edition timepiece that will delight collectors and luxury watch lovers alike. The new Submersible Elux LAB-ID PAM01800 is not just a watch, but a true technological masterpiece, the result of eight years of research and development in their manufactory in Neuchâtel. Limited to just 150 pieces, this watch will be available in batches of 50 pieces per year over a period of three years.

The core of the new Elux LAB-ID watch is its illumination and visibility in all light conditions. Thanks to the Power Light function, which is activated on demand, the illumination can last up to 30 minutes. Activation is easy - by pressing a special button on the case at 8 o'clock, which is protected by a patented button protection system. This energy illuminates the 12 indices on the dial, the patented hands and the dot on the unidirectional rotating ring.

Innovations in materials and mechanism

The watch is equipped with six drums and four patents, which enable the conversion of mechanical energy into light to illuminate the dial, hands and ring. The case is made of Ti-Ceramitech™, an innovative material that is the result of seven years of research. Ti-Ceramitech™ is lighter than steel and ten times more fracture resistant than ceramic.

P.9010/EL mechanism and energy efficiency

The Elux LAB-ID is powered by the automatic caliber P.9010/EL, consisting of 363 components, with energy stored in six drums. Four drums provide energy for the 30-minute illumination function, while the remaining two provide a three-day power reserve for the time function of the watch. A special micro-generator converts mechanical energy into light, an achievement that combines high-speed rotation and optimal energy efficiency.
