When you walk around the city, you get the feeling that you are part of a unique culture and unrepeatable history at every step. Powerful squares such as Place de la Concorde, Place de la Republique, Place de la Bastille, parks and promenades Champ de Mars with the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, ....
…the banks of the Seine, huge boulevards and mighty avenues, museums and art institutions, the most famous of which is the Louvre, are places you must visit.
You should definitely go to Paris for at least a week and, in good weather, spend the day walking to the Montmartre church and admiring the Notre-Dame cathedral at the other end of the city. And since Paris is a modern city, in addition to all the historical buildings, on the west side of the Sienna river, a completely new, modern and almost futuristic part of the city, called la Defense, has grown up. Sky-scraping glass skyscrapers connected to huge shopping malls bear no resemblance to the city that survived the first workers' revolution. You can go to any part of Paris with the metro, which is also the fastest and cheapest form of transport. You can get tourist maps of the city and the railway at almost every step and you will find your way around very easily, as they are marked very clearly, and the most interesting places to visit are also highlighted. So be brave and go! And quite literally, because after a tiring day, when you think for a moment about where you've been, what you've seen and how far you've walked, you'll be surprised to find that these routes are really measured in kilometers.
The French way of life
There are plenty of restaurants with excellent food in the city. French, Italian, Japanese and other world cuisines will surely tempt you. If you want a romantic or special dinner, you can go to Hotel Costes, to the famous Buddha Bar or la Suite. The latter, after dinner, turn into two of the best clubs for evening parties in the city. The French live a little differently than us, they sleep a long time, they start work later, accordingly, of course, a late dinner follows, around eleven or twelve in the evening, and then a party, which almost always lasts until the morning hours. New nightclubs are always opening in the city, and in the newest one, Club 105, after the party, they take you wherever you want with their cars. Free of course. We suggest you drive to Bar Fly or Club Cabaret, where the cream of Paris gathers. The bars are among the most interesting in the city. Here you can stand, dance, sit, or find booths with huge armchairs where the ceiling is too low for walking - so lie down and drink a good cocktail and chat with your company in a pleasantly relaxed "lying down" atmosphere.
Paris = fashion
There are tons of boutiques for shopping in Paris. The most expensive stores can certainly be found on the streets along the Champs Elysees, but if you are a lover of shopping centers, you can go to Galeries Lafayette (pictured), where you can in five floors and two buildings connected to each other by a glass corridor that stands above main street, also spend the whole day. There really is anything you can do in the city, and if you're visiting for the first time, get out on foot and explore. Another tip: go to the arts district of St. Germain and located at 172 blvd, St. Germain, stop at Cafe de Flore. Known for many years for the gathering of the greatest artists and cultural figures such as Sartre, Simone, Beauvoir, Camus and others, it is still a meeting place for the city's most famous cultural figures, gallerists, artists and historians. And what makes it even more special? Every townie will tell you that this is the best hot chocolate they've ever tasted.
