Something completely new is being born on the site of the former Hotel Pical in Poreč. The Poreč Valamar Pical Resort, scheduled to open in 2026, promises a new generation of luxury, not only for tourists, but also for the local community. The €139 million project will give Poreč a comprehensive resort that will transform the existing infrastructure on several levels.
Designed as a five-star resort that will operate year-round, Poreč will Pical Resort offering everything the modern traveler is looking for today – and more. In a pine forest right by the sea, just a ten-minute walk from the old town, 514 elegantly furnished rooms and suites are planned. Each will be carefully equipped with a pillow menu, luxury cosmetics and the latest technological solutions, so that guests can forget about everyday life and stay in touch with the world at the same time.
The accommodation will not only be aimed at couples and solo travelers. A strong emphasis will also be placed on families, as many rooms will allow for bonding and additional children's content, and the entire complex will be designed to be functionally and aesthetically suitable for all generations.
Valamar Pical Resort as the finishing touch to the entire resort
Porec Valamar Pical Resort is not conceived as an isolated island of luxury, but as a space that will live with the city. The resort is planning to build the largest thematic children's center in the region, Maro World, which will spread over an impressive 1,200 square meters. In addition, there will be new public spaces, sports areas, walking paths, a reconstruction of the beach and additional facilities open to the local population. This will make the swimming pools, sports fields and wellness facilities accessible to the residents of Poreč, which gives additional value to the entire project.
The resort will operate year-round, instead of a season lasting two or three months. This brings not only a new level of service, but also a new, more sustainable model of destination development.

The new resort plans to open as many as eight themed restaurants and ten bars! For those who want to relax in motion, there are plans to build a 1,300 square meter wellness center, with various types of saunas, massages, aromatherapy and spa treatments. There will also be eleven swimming pools, indoor and outdoor, including an Olympic and a family pool, and a children's aquapark.

In addition to hedonists and families, the resort also targets athletes, digital nomads, business people and event organizers. The construction of a congress center is also planned, which will further position Poreč as a desirable destination for business events, conferences and team buildings.
