Dark elegance that turns heads

Black Edition is a car that screams: “Look at me!” The SportDesign package gives it a more aggressive look – the front and rear bumpers are so sharp they could cut butter. The window trims, mirror caps and rear badges are in high-gloss black, as if the car is dressed in a tuxedo. And, please, stop for a moment – the black door mirrors? That’s an exclusive that you only get on the Black Edition, nowhere else in the Porsche range! The wheels? Oh, 21-inch, with silver surfaces that sparkle like diamonds against a background of black accents. This is a car that attracts attention even before you press the accelerator – sorry, electric.

The interior? It's like stepping into a luxury spaceship. Black embossed leather, illuminated door sills with the words "Black Edition" and seats with the Porsche crest embossed into the backrests scream prestige. And you know what? It's all standard. No extra charge. No fiddling with a configurator that's more complicated than building a quantum computer.

Standard equipment that will leave you speechless

Porsche listened to its customers and said: “We are done with endless lists of options!” Black Edition brings everything your heart desires, without any extra cost. Imagine: 14-way adjustable seats that are so comfortable you could spend the whole day in them. Bose Surround Sound system that turns every song into a concert experience. Surround View cameras with active parking assistance so you don't have to sweat in the narrow streets of Ljubljana. HD Matrix LED headlights that illuminate the road like daylight. And, of course, those projection lights that throw the Porsche logo on the ground – because, why not?

All colors from the “Shades” category (Jet Black Metallic, Volcano Grey Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic and Ice Grey Metallic) are free, and for the more daring, the entire Paint to Sample catalog is available. Want a Taycan in the color of your favorite cocktail? No problem, Porsche can do it.

The power that gets your blood pumping

Under the floor – because there’s no hood here – the Black Edition hides a 105-kWh Performance Battery Plus, which is an option for $5,780. No extra charge, of course. This battery increases the range to 512 km for the base Taycan, 473 km for the Taycan 4 and 475 km for the Taycan 4S. And the power? The base Taycan and Taycan 4 now produce 429 horsepower (instead of 402), while the Taycan 4S jumps to 590 horses (instead of 536). That’s enough to make you smile from Ljubljana to Maribor when you press the electric button.

According to Porsche, the new models are optimized for efficiency. Combined electric power consumption (WLTP) is between 17.7 and 20.9 kWh/100 km, and the urban range is between 528 and 821 km, depending on the model. With systems such as the Porsche Charging Planner and the Porsche Intelligent Range Manager, driving is even smarter – the car practically thinks for you when it comes to charging and navigation. And what's more: charging is faster than ever, as the Taycan supports up to 320 kW at fast charging stations, meaning you're ready for action again in 15 minutes.

How much does this black pearl cost?

Porsche is keeping the price under wraps, but rumors suggest the base Black Edition could cost around $125,000. If true, that's a real bargain, as the same equipment added piecemeal would push the price up to $130,000. According to our information, the Black Edition is only available in the US.
