When we want Leskovac delicacies, we have to stop at Gostišče Portal on Zaloška cesta in Ljubljana. It is located in a quiet part of the city, next to the Ljubljanica and only ten minutes from the city center. The restaurant has a large parking lot, two winter gardens and a summer garden, so there is enough space for larger groups and festive events. They offer us dishes of international cuisine with an emphasis on Leskovac cuisine. Meat dishes are cooked exclusively on real charcoal. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, we can try fresh wild fish on the grill or from the oven: turbot, grouper, toothfish, sole, bream, sea bream or sea bass. Lunch or dinner is best started with one of the appetizers: kajmak, belimsiromali gogina salad. Among the warm starter dishes, lovers of stews will be happy to read, while for others there are gibanica with spinach or grilled vegetables. For those who are not the biggest fans of meat or fish, there is a wide range of pastas, including noodles with prosciutto salmon, gnocchi with porcini mushrooms or gorgonzola. If we can't decide what to eat, then let's choose grilled dishes, for which Portal is the real masters. Pork medallions with cream, smoked or stuffed hanger, skewers, patties, ushtipki and homemade sausage are their specialties. If we can't decide between these, they can prepare and bring us a Leskovac wagon, on which we each get something. Of course, a glass of wine goes with it, which you can choose from the rich wine list. On Fridays and Saturdays in Portal, you can relax and spin to the music of Evergreen, Dalmatian and Old Town. And if it's already late, we can also spend the night in their boarding house.
