This year they will break the magic number of one million visitors
Postojna Cave is one of the largest Slovenian natural and tourist pearls and one of the most recognizable caves in the world. The attendance figures also show this. This year, he is the leader Postojna Cave Park set a goal of reaching one million visitors, and the numbers suggest that they will succeed. Yesterday, October 11, they exceeded the number of 950,000. "This means that by the end of the year, we will fulfill the forecast of one million visitors," announced the management of Postojna Cave in a press release.

Everyone wants to see the human fish
Compared to the same period last year, the number of visitors to the Postojna Cave Park increased by 7.5 percent, or by more than 66,000 guests, while the Proteus Vivarium, where visitors can see hundreds of cave animals, recorded a 32 percent increase in the number of visitors. The increase in visits is mainly due to the worldwide story of the hatching of 'dragon cubs'.
More and more visitors are from Israel
Most of the guests who visit the Postojna Cave come from Italy and South Korea, this year there are also more Slovenian guests. Regular guests are also Germans and, more recently, Israelis. Poland, Great Britain, the USA and Japan also rank among the top ten countries in terms of the number of visitors. The last in the top ten are the Hungarian guests, whose numbers are increasing, and the same is true of visitors from Croatia. As an interesting fact, let us also mention that the Postojna Cave was accidentally discovered by a local Luka Čeča.

Millions of visitors crossed the threshold of Ljubljana Castle for the fourth year in a row
