The beach in Portorož is probably the most beleaguered part of the Slovenian coast, especially in the high season, when tourists from all over Slovenia and the rest of the world can be found there. Of course, the culinary offer is therefore very diverse and picturesque. What could be better than enjoying good food with a view of the sea, while the fresh breeze cools us down and encourages us to run. Restaurant Prego offers us all of this, but it is also a bit hidden if we look at it from the "road" side of Portorož. The offer is very mixed, which means that everyone will find something for their taste. The journey through flavors begins with the soups, where the local Istrian minestrone with "berries" reigns supreme. Appetizers include classic cold meats, seafood appetizers, and for the more extravagant, there are snails in the Provencal style. Pasta and risottos are designed to be easy in the summer, especially if you want them in a seafood style. The range of fish is also considerable, and it is characterized by interesting combinations with vegetables and other additives, for example combinations with mushrooms and leeks or red wine, and of course you can also choose the classic grilled fish. The meat offer includes all types of meat, but in Preg they also offer something really unusual, as we will be able to feast on crocodile steak. Let's also treat ourselves to lamb, which is not prepared in the classic way, but is combined with different, more unusual spices for this type of dish.
