On November 6, the premiere of the ballet Peer Gynt will take place at SNG Maribor. The story of the Nordic hero from Henrik Ibsen's play of the same name was "translated" into dance steps by choreographer Edward Clug, and the musical background consists of the works of Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg.
Peer Gynt is a story about a hero that originates from the fantasy world of Northern Europe. Henrik Ibsen in the verse drama of the same name from 1876, he problematized the fragmentation of individual identity and the conflicts that still accompany modern man today. Peer Gynt is a special character who at the beginning presents himself as a poet, but with time he begins to change more and more into a callous upstart and profiteer.

On the stage of SNG Maribor, we will see a ballet interpretation of this Nordic hero choreographer Edward Clug premiered on November 6. The musical background will consist of the works of the Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg, which evoke the beauty and magic of the Nordic world before our eyes. He will conduct the orchestra Simon Robinson, and ballet dancers Miloš Isailović, Gaj Žmavc, Matjaž Marin, Sytze Jan Luske, Tanja Baronik, Tijuana Križman Hudernik, Evgenija Koškina, Sergiu Moga and others will perform in the performance.
