A new remake of the classic of the same name from the late 80s is coming to the big screen in early February, this time with more technology and special effects. And of course...criminals have a new number one enemy.
The story is set in 2028, in the city Detroit. International conglomerate OmniCorp is still in the center robotic technologies, the military has been using their drones in warfare around the world for years, and the corporation now plans to use its controversial technology on home soil as well. When it's Alex Murphy (played by Joel Kinnaman), a devoted husband, father and police officer who is dedicated to fighting crime and corruption, critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp offers the opportunity to save with its advanced technology Murphy and creates a policeman who will be part human and part robot. The corporation wants with a new one prototypes in every city to amass even more wealth for shareholders, but in doing so forgets an important fact: there is still a man in the machine that enforces the law.
