A unique performance genre is coming to the City Theater of Ljubljana: the theatrical crime serial. From March 30, the work of the writer and director Nejco Gazvoda, Vranja vrata, will be shown, where we will meet criminal investigator Kristina, who will investigate a murder and a disappearance.
V MGL is coming back Aleksandar Popovski, who directed the drama Dunsinane last season, but this time he will tackle a completely new and unique performance genre on the Little Stage: theatrical crime series in four parts. It is an original format of a theater work, in which MGL is inspired by the currently flourishing phenomenon of quality crime series: Bridge, True Detective, Fargo, Happy Valley and Making a Murderer.

Story:
After three years of independence in London, Ida Žakelj returns to her home in the woods near a small village in Dolenjska, where the well-to-do Žakelj family moved from the city fifteen years ago to the surprise of the villagers. Neža's new boyfriend Anže and his father Žan, locals by residence and soul, are coming to the family dinner on the birthday of Ida's sister Neže. Ida knows Anžet from high school. Ida and Neža get along. A local drug addict, Neža's ex-boyfriend Brin Idi, during a chance meeting, mentions a place in the forest, Crow's Gate, where he once saw something that seems to have marked him fatally. Ida does not remember what and where Crow's Gate is supposed to be. The morning after dinner at the Žakljevi's, the police pull a man's body out of the river, and Neža disappears. Criminalist Kristina, who was transferred to the place only recently, begins the investigation.
The original theater series Raven's Gate, which is happening in our environment and today, he wrote writer and director Nejc Gazvoda, who made his MGL debut two seasons ago with the staging of the comedy drama Changing of the Guard.
