Lighting of holiday lights in Slovenian cities 2016

Are you looking forward to the holiday lights? Get ready! The cities of Ljubljana, Maribor, Koper, Kranj, Celje and others will now shine in a festive atmosphere.

A little more and we will fully feel the festive atmosphere. Slovenian cities namely, this week they are starting with by turning on holiday lights. Check when the lights will come on in your hometown.

In 2016, Ljubljana will once again speed up the lighting of the holiday lights. If last year we turned on the lights on November 27, this year we will turn them on two days earlier. That's right, the holiday lights will be switched on in Ljubljana on November 25, 2016 at 5:15 p.m. They will be accompanied by a short cultural program, followed by a speech by the mayor, and then all the festive lights of Ljubljana will be lit at the same time. Holiday fairs will also open in Breg and Pogačarjev trg.

Lighting of the lights Maribor 2016: November 25 at 5:00 p.m

The lights will also be lit in Maribor on November 25. The event will start in front of the First Gymnasium on Trg Generala Maistra. A total of 45,000 lights will glow.

Lighting of the Koper 2016 lights: December 2 at 5:00 p.m

This year, the festive lights will be lit in Koper on December 2nd, and the lighting of the lights will soon be followed by other festive events. December 3rd will take place between 12:00 and 20:00 Nicholas fair on Tito Square. There will also be an opening on December 9 in Tito Square Christmas and New Year fair, which will be open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. until 24 December.

Lighting of the Celje 2016 lights: November 27 at 5:00 p.m.

The lighting of the holiday lights will be accompanied by a concert in Celje Akord & Vite Mavrič Quartet. This year's festive lighting will be ceremonially lit by the mayor of the Municipality of Celje Bojan Šrot. The program will be coordinated by Janko and Diana, moderators of Radio Antena Štajerska, together with Pažko Urhko.

Lighting of the Novo mesto 2016 lights: December 5 at 5:00 p.m

The holiday lights will be lit in Novi Mesto at the same time as the arrival of Santa Claus. The program will take place on the Main Square, and the students of Marjana Kozine's music school will also perform.

Lighting of the lights Kranj 2016: December 3 at 5:00 p.m

During the December days, the old town of Kranj glows with thousands of lights, and the atmosphere on the streets is brightened by events as part of Happy December.

With the lighting of the lights on the Town Square, the oldest Slovenian city will shine in a festive image. In the unique decoration of Ptuj under the conceptual leadership of Stanka Vauda, the students and secondary school of Economics and Engineering Ptuj played a key role, who put their knowledge and skills into practice and thus contributed to the truly magical decoration of the city.
