"Safe stay in Croatia" project for safe holidays in Croatia

Last year, due to good epidemiological conditions, Croatia was recognized as a safe destination, and it wants to remain so in 2021 as well. In addition to the World Travel and Tourism Council's (WTTC) Safe Travels label, which is already known on the market, a national label called Safe stay has also been designed. and Croatia, which is important in establishing Croatia as a safe and desirable destination.

Croatian Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac and Director of the Croatian Tourist Board Kristjan Staničić presented the project Safe stay in Croatia, an online platform through which all interested stakeholders in tourism can find information about what Safe stay in Croatia represents, how they can collect safety labels and communicate their opinions.

"During the preparations for the current tourist season, in which unfortunately the pandemic is still with us, we put the safety and health of our population and our guests first. It is a project in which the Ministry of Tourism and Sports was supported by the leading tourism and professional associations gathered in the "Council for the recovery and development of tourism, the realization of the tourist year 2021 and the improvement of the tourist offer". With the prescribed protocols, we covered more than 200,000 caterers and service providers" she emphasized Buzzard and added that it was extremely important for them to ensure that the national label would be accessible to all stakeholders in tourism and the travel chain, which they succeeded in doing.

The Croatian Tourist Board is in charge of the promotional campaign. "In addition to the promotional work, which relates to the positioning of Croatia as a well-prepared and safe tourist destination, the mentioned campaign also has an educational character, as we want to familiarize our guests with the protocols and epidemiological measures that are implemented at all levels of tourist activity, all with the desire, to enable a safe and pleasant stay in our country", he stated Stanicic.

Through the website safestaincroatia.hr we will be able to find all stakeholders of the tourism sector who carry the label Safe stay in Croatia, and there you can also find all relevant information about health and safety protocols in seven basic categories, as well as information on how to act in case of suspected COVID-19.
