PVRR: Virtual reality for cats is coming

A bit unusual, isn't it?

In 2018, the Isobar marketing agency already earned the title of one of the most innovative agencies. It was one of the first to start measuring users' emotional responses to VR content, but that's not all. What new does it offer this time?

Recently it did Isobar tied up with an Australian chain of zoos Zoos Victoria, with which they wish virtual reality offer to a new target group – cats.

Research PVRR, which they conducted, revealed that there are as many as 600 million small cats in the world. A large proportion of these were evaluated as potential customers.

PVRR uses technology to show the cat's emotions EEG and EKG. A special methodology allows cats to see better than humans in the dark at the cost of poorer color discrimination. As part of a process known as 'WHAT', depending on the position of the cat's whiskers, it is possible to determine the level of the cat's interest in a certain thing:

  • TD – completely uninterested,
  • D – uninterested,
  • MD – moderately interested,
  • CNP – very interested (the abbreviation refers to catnip, the smell of which strongly attracts cats).
A bit unusual, isn't it?

The full analysis of the research was published on April 2 this year and is available to potential investors here. If you want to support a project that focuses on cat virtual reality, you probably want to check every detail. Isobar and Zoos Victoria did not disappoint, backing up the research with a wealth of data and neuroscience.
