The Ram 1500 REV conquers the electric pickup truck segment with 654 hp and an impressive range of 800 kilometers, ready to go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Ram 1500 REV – 2025 – has taken the electric pickup truck segment by storm, unveiling its stunning specs at the 2023 New York International Auto Show. This all-electric monster boasts a class-leading range of 800 kilometers (500 miles), with a premium battery pack 229 kWh, a towing capacity of up to 6,350 kg (14,000 lb) and a payload of 1,225 kg (2,700 lb), and stunning 654 horsepower and 840 Nm (620 lb-ft) of torque. Also get ready for a lightning-fast charging experience with 800V DC fast charging that can provide 177 kilometers (110 miles) reach in just 10 minutes.
Ram 1500 REV – 2025 powered by two 250-kilowatt electric drive modules, one on each axle, which combine motor, gearbox and inverter into one unit. The front drive module can be disengaged, allowing the wheels to spin freely, improving efficiency in certain situations. The rear module, meanwhile, includes a rear differential with an electronic lock.
Buyers can choose between two battery options: a standard 168 kWh pack that offers an estimated range 563 kilometers (350 miles), or an additional package with 229 kWh, which increases the projected range to 800 kilometers (500 miles). Ram is also teasing the XR trim with “class-breaking class,” keeping us in the loop for more surprises.
The charging capabilities they support are also impressive 800 volt DC fast charging up to 350 kilowatts. The system enables two-way charging from vehicle to vehicle, from vehicle to home and from vehicle to network. The vehicle's power connector can provide up to 7.2 kilowatts, while the available plug in the trunk offers 3.6 kilowatts, both usable at the same time.
As for the suspension, it has Ram REV active air suspension with adaptive dampers and multilink independent rear suspension. Drivers can choose between five suspension modes: In/Out, Aero, Normal, Off-Road 1 and Off-Road 2. 22-inch 275/50 Pirelli Scorpion all-season tires are available.
The cabin is equally stunning, with the top-of-the-line variant REV Tungsten offers premium leather seats, audio system Klipsch Reference Premiere with 23 speakers and three touch screens of 12, 14.5 and 10.25 inches for the driver and front passenger. Storage options include a power-opening trunk with 15 cubic feet of space and the RamBox, a lockable storage compartment with 115 volt outlet inside.
2025 Ram 1500 REV it is expected to arrive in the fourth quarter of 2024, and prices have not yet been announced. But expect an impressive lineup from Ram given the competitive nature of the electric pickup market.
