New Nothing Phone (3) Revealed: An Unusual Camera and Some Irony Because “Nothing” Is No Longer a Secret

Will the bizarrely inconsistent camera placement be a revolution or just a designer's fun at our expense?

Nothing is preparing to unveil its new Nothing Phone (3) on July 1st, but given the latest leaks, the brand's mysterious name seems to be quite ironic - because apparently "nothing" can't stay hidden any longer. This time, the leaked renders (as they always "accidentally" do) show us the smartphone in black and white. But beware: the back of the phone has a slightly unusual surprise in the form of cameras placed in such a daring (or maybe slightly unfortunate?) arrangement that it's sure to raise some eyebrows.

Nothing Phone (3) brings a display with a hole-punch camera, which is almost as revolutionary as avocado toast in today's hipster cafes. But the real novelty is hidden on the back of the device, which is equipped with three cameras. The top one is, surprisingly, placed closer to the edge of the phone than the one below. Although it looks like the designer sneezed awkwardly just before the design was finished, it is clearly a well-considered decision – as Nothing has confirmed that this “alienated” module is a 50MP periscope telephoto camera.

Perhaps this is a step towards artistic abstraction or just a joke that the public will only understand in a few generations. Who knows – after all, this is a company that calls itself “Nothing”, which in itself reeks of a touch of playful irony.

Nothing Phone (3): The inside is more impressive than the outside (or at least more symmetrical)

Nothing has yet to officially reveal the details of all the cameras, but rumors suggest that the primary and ultra-wide sensors will both be 50MP. There's also a black circle next to the cameras on the back - presumably for the famous Glyph Matrix system that has become almost a trademark of Nothing phones.

The exterior design may raise doubts about the designers' aesthetic preferences, but the build quality promises to be top-notch. The phone will be made of metal, with volume keys on the left and a power button, as well as an additional "mystery" button on the right. Evil tongues suggest that it may be the Essential Key, which we saw on the Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro phones - but nothing has been confirmed (pun intended).

Snapdragon and the Promise of Long Life – Almost Like a Marriage Without a Divorce Agreement

What we do know for sure is that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip. It's also interesting that Nothing has provided 5 years of operating system upgrades and 7 years of security updates. This means that the phone will last longer than many Instagram relationships.

Conclusion: Nothing Phone (3)

To sum up: The Nothing Phone (3) may not win any fashion awards for the most symmetrical design, but it will certainly attract a lot of attention – if not admiration, then at least awe – with its unusual camera placement. Nevertheless, the device boasts top-notch specs, a long-lasting software, and a metal build quality that gives us hope that the phone's true beauty lies deeper inside – and not just at first glance.
