Photo: envato

We have a great recipe for you for a super chocolate treat that will delight all those with a sweet tooth. The hazelnut base will give wonderful nutty flavors, while the chocolate cream will be the main element of this pie. If you use dark chocolate, the pie will be a little more rustic, and with milk chocolate, it will be sweeter. To contrast the strong chocolate, add whipped cream or coconut milk on top.

Ingredients

    Ingredients for the hazelnut base:
  • 350 g of hazelnuts
  • 50 g of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • Ingredients for chocolate cream:
  • 130 g of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 3 cups of milk
  • 200 g of chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 sweet cream

Directions

  1. Fry the hazelnuts, clean them, cool them, then put them in a blender and chop them.
  2. Add sugar and cocoa powder to the chopped hazelnuts, mix the melted butter and pour the mixture into the pie mold.
  3. Press down the mass and bake for about 20 minutes at 180 degrees.
  4. During this time, prepare the cream by putting sugar, flour, salt, egg yolks in a bowl and mixing well.
  5. Place on low heat and add milk. Cook while stirring constantly.
  6. The cream should not boil. When the first bubbles appear, reduce the heat and stir for another minute or so, then set aside.
  7. Add chocolate, butter and vanilla to the cream. Cover the cream with plastic wrap, then store it in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
  8. Cover the baked hazelnut base with the cooled chocolate cream.
  9. Add sweet cream on top and sprinkle with grated chocolate.
