Recipe: Gourmet Avocado Spread

In recent years, its unique taste has found its place in various sauces, salads, even chips... and we have prepared a recipe for toast with avocado spread for you. The combination of avocado, pickled radishes, peppers and tomatoes promises to impress even the most demanding gourmets, yet the preparation of this dish is very easy.

Avocado ranks not only among the most delicious types of fruit, but also among the most healthy. It contains plenty vitamins K, C, E and B6 and potassium and of folates. That's why it is avocado toast an excellent choice for both breakfast as for afternoon snack. In addition to avocado, the recipe we prepared also contains radishes, tomatoes and pepper, which also boast a bunch vitamins and minerals.

Ingredients

    Ingredients for pickled radishes:
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • olive oil
  • 5 peppercorns
  • 40 g of sugar
  • 1 bay leaf
  • half a teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup red radishes
  • Ingredients for paprika spread:
  • 3 peppers
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 4 sprigs of thyme
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 4 sprigs of thyme
  • pinch of salt
  • Ingredients for toast:
  • 12 slices of French bread
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic
  • Ingredients for avocado spread
  • 2 avocados
  • half a cup of Greek yogurt
  • half a teaspoon of salt

Directions

  1. First, prepare the pickled radishes. Heat the vinegar, sugar, pepper, bay leaf and salt in a saucepan over low heat. Simmer until the sugar melts.
  2. Cool the mixture and add the radishes. Pour into a glass and refrigerate overnight.
  3. Start by preparing the paprika spread. First, bake the peppers and tomatoes for about 30 minutes in an oven heated to 200°C.
  4. Remove the skins and seeds and mix with the other ingredients of the paprika spread.
  5. Blend until smooth, then refrigerate. You can use the spread for about a week.
  6. Proceed to make the French Loaf Toast. First, cut the French loaf into pieces about 1 cm thick.
  7. Soak the bread with a clove of garlic and drizzle with olive oil. Then bake in the oven, heated to 180°C, until the bread becomes crispy (about 25 minutes).
  8. Mash the avocado, then mix it with Greek yogurt and salt.
  9. First spread the freshly baked bread with the paprika spread, then place the pickled radishes on it. Add the avocado spread and drizzle with olive oil and serve with your choice of vegetables. Bon Appetit!

Additional tip:

If you are in a hurry, you can exclude everything from the recipe except avocado spread and treat yourself to it on toast himself.
