A healthy snack baked with very little oil that you can enjoy without a guilty conscience.
Polenta is most often prepared as a side dish to sauces. This recipe is a little different, prepare fake fries that will impress you with its taste.
The combination of spices gives it a special taste. It can be served with various sauces or as a side dish to meat.
Polenta fries
Ingredients
- 170 g of polenta
- 500 ml of water
- 1 clove of garlic
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of oregano
- 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary
- salt, pepper
Directions
- Pour water into the pot and when it boils, add the polenta and stir vigorously so that no lumps form. Add a little salt and cook for about 5 minutes to get a thick texture.
- Mash the garlic, then when the polenta is cooked, add the rest of the spices, mix and leave covered for a few minutes to cool.
- Pour it into a 20×20 pan lined with baking paper, spread it evenly and put it in the freezer for 20 minutes to harden.
- Heat the oven to 200 degrees.
- Carefully transfer the polenta to a cutting board, then use a sharp knife to cut it into strips similar to french fries.
- Arrange them on a baking sheet, drizzle with a little olive oil and fry for about 15 minutes until they get a crispy crust.
