Outside already it smells like spring, so it's high time that it slowly smells of it in the kitchen as well. And what better way than to welcome spring with spring rolls in Chinese, which can be served as an appetizer, main course or side dish with a salad?
Recipe for spring rolls:
Ingredients for Chinese Spring Rolls:
Ingredients for the dough:
- puff pastry (instead, you can also prepare thin pancakes, which are only baked on one side)
Ingredients for the filling:
- 12 dag soybean sprouts
- 1 onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- a little cabbage (we recommend Chinese cabbage)
- some fresh celery
- 2 small leeks
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 25 dag ground pork
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- salt and pepper (to taste)
The process of making Chinese spring rolls:
Cut all the above vegetables into strips. Then fry the minced meat in oil, add chopped vegetables and sauté. Add some water if necessary. Add soy sauce, salt and pepper, and when the meat is cooked and the vegetables have softened, let it cool. In the dough, cut into 10-centimeter squares (we take 2 sheets together so that they still stick), or put a teaspoon or two of filling on the unbaked side of the pancake and fold it in the form of an envelope; glue the edges with egg white so that the dough does not open during baking (at least 2 cm of empty dough should remain at the edges). Heat the oil in a pan to 190 degrees Celsius and fry the spring rolls until golden. Before serving them in the company of soy maca, place them on paper napkins to absorb the excess fat. Have a good run!
