Strawberry season is at its peak, so it's the right time to make strawberry jam. This time we have prepared a recipe and process for making strawberry jam with vanilla and chocolate.
Yes! You read that right – strawberry jam with vanilla and chocolate. Do not delay at all. Roll up your sleeves and make this delicious fruity sin.
Ingridients:
- 1 kg of strawberries
- 500 g of Wiener Zucker jelly sugar (in a ratio of 2:1)
- 1 vanilla pod
- 40 g of edible chocolate
Preparation:
Wash the strawberries, drain them well and remove the stems. Mash half of the strawberries, cut the rest into pieces and then mix it with the mashed strawberries. Add the gelling sugar. Cut the vanilla bean in half lengthwise, shake the core with the strawberries and sugar, mix well, and finally add the vanilla pod shell to the fruit mixture.
Let the fruit mixture rest in the cold for an hour or two, then put it on the stove and stir it all the time until it boils. Then let it boil for 4 to 6 minutes at a medium temperature. Check whether the mixture has already gelled, then carefully remove the shell of the vanilla bean from it, and then quickly mix in the chocolate, which we have already chopped into pieces. Fill the jars with the jam prepared in this way, close them tightly and store them in a cold place.
Our advice:
After cooking, wash the shell of the vanilla pod under cold water, dry it completely and store it in a tightly closed jar. That way we can use it again later.
