Cinnamon Toast is a very simple dish that only requires good bread, butter, sugar or maple/agave syrup and cinnamon. Although this recipe actually dates back to the 15th century, when it was considered a more affordable substitute for French toast throughout Europe, it's only recently that it's gained the much-deserved attention of gourmets. Below is a recipe for our new favorite breakfast, loved by both young and old!
Cinnamon toast

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of softened butter
 - 2 tablespoons of coconut sugar
 - 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
 - 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
 - 1 piece of toast (best sourdough bread)
 
Directions
- Mix some softened butter with coconut sugar, cinnamon and maple syrup.
 - You spread it on a piece of toast, then bake it in the oven at 180 C for about 10 minutes.
 - Place the toast on a cooling rack to ensure crisp toast.
