Red cabbage

Every month we will prepare six new and interesting recipes, so follow us diligently and participate in the Jamnica prize game.

Ingredients (for 4 people): 1 kg of red cabbage, olive oil, red onion, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 dcl of red wine, 4 dcl of vegetable soup base, a pinch of ground nutmeg, 1 sour apple, salt

Preparation: Peel and grate the apple. Finely chop the onion. Wash the cabbage leaves thoroughly, remove the main veins and cut them into strips. Place a large shrimp on the cooker and heat the oil in it. Add the chopped onion and fry it until translucent. Add sugar and cover with wine. Put the cabbage in the pan and add the nutmeg. Add salt to taste and add the vegetable soup base. Cover the pot and simmer over moderate heat for about 30 minutes. Ten minutes before the end of cooking, add grated apple to the cabbage and mix everything well. Cabbage is served on plates and offered as a side dish.
