With the start of summer, when car showrooms heat up across Europe, the heat doesn't just come from the sun. With the unveiling of its facelifted 2024 Volkswagen T-Cross, Volkswagen has added its little whistle to the hot automotive soup. With its redesigned design and improved performance, the T-Cross is poised to further solidify its place among compact crossovers. Even though it's only July, sales for the entire year are already sold out. T-Cross remains true to its philosophy: "Small but powerful!"

Volkswagen's T-Cross, which has been on the market since 2020, has achieved sales of over 1.2 million units to date. You can't argue with that number – the T-Cross is a quiet but convincing success for Volkswagen. A few years after its first launch, it's time for a refresh to stay competitive in this extremely challenging category.

Volkswagen seems to be in the process of refreshing the model Volkswagen T-Cross 2024 followed the principle "if something works, don't fix it too much". The new model is longer by 27 mm (or about 1 inch), the wheelbase remains the same at 2563 mm (101 inches). While driving, you'll notice the design changes: the new headlights with matrix LED technology, which are standard on the Style and R-Line models, connected to an LED light strip around the distinctive VW badge. The rear part of the vehicle received a new "X" shape of lights, which gives the T-Cross a unique and recognizable look.

Inside, improvements continue. On dashboard you will notice a display that measures 8 or 9.2 inches, depending on the configuration. The new dashboard trim and additional stitching on high-end models add to the sense of prestige.

Considering that the T-Cross is designed as a compact crossover, it is not surprising that a lot of attention is paid to spaciousness and practicality. The trunk offers 385 to 455 liters (13.6 to 16 cubic feet) depending on the position of the rear bench, which can be moved by 140 mm (5.5 inches). When you fold down the 60:40 rear seats, the volume increases to 1,281 liters (45.2 cubic feet).

There are three engines available under the hood, all with TSI technology. The smallest is a 1.0-liter three-cylinder, available with 95 or 116 hp (70 or 86 kW). For the most powerful versions, a 1.5-liter four-cylinder s 150 hp.
