After the restyling of the Fiesta, however, the Ford Focus came along. Focus has received a thorough refresh, which can be seen both on the exterior, under the hood and inside the car.
Ford Focus has undergone a thorough redesign guided by the Ford philosophy of focusing on the driver and adapting the car to the driver. With the renewal, all versions of the Focus model became serial LED headlights, with built-in fog lights. The rear lights, which are dimmed on some models, have also been changed. The LED taillights, available on higher trim levels, are also dimmed with a new and noticeable pattern dynamic lighting. Each version of the Focus model has a slightly modified design, which further emphasizes the individual characteristics of the equipment lines. The Connected and Titanium trim levels are adorned with a larger grille with noticeable chrome, while the ST-Line has noticeable sporty lines, with a smaller black-tinted front grille in a honeycomb pattern. At the same time, the ST-Line can also boast of side air vents, more prominent door sills and a discreet rear air deflector.
The new Ford engines provide the redesigned Focus with more efficiency and they do not interfere with the driving dynamics that Fokus owners have enjoyed for more than 20 years. Ford's EcoBoost engines are now even more efficient and powerful, and now available 7-speed two-clutch Powershift automatic transmission, which in Sport Drive Mode "saves" lower gears for dynamic driving. The gearbox also allows gear selection via the steering wheel-mounted levers, which are already part of the standard equipment for the ST-Line version. The automatic transmission will further contribute to fuel savings, as it enables the Auto Start-Stop function even while the car is moving, up to speed 12 km/h.
Photo: FordPetrol 1.0-liter EcoBoost, with 125 or 155 horses powers, is now available as a mild hybrid. 48-volt the system enables fuel savings and helps with additional torque during acceleration. Part of the energy is stored in the lithium-ion battery during braking, and the energy is then used again when accelerating or reducing the load on the gasoline engine. A petrol one is also available 1.0-liter EcoBoost motor with 100 or 125 horses powers, which is connected to 6-speed manual gearbox. Diesel 1.5 liter EcoBlue engine is available with 95 or 120 horses powers, and both are available with a manual 6-speed gearbox. You can also think of a stronger version with 8-speed automatic transmission. All versions of Fokus offer driving profiles Normal, Sport and Eco, and the Active versions also have Slippery and Trail profiles, for driving on less friendly terrain.

Only this one boasts a sophisticated learning algorithm that learns the driver's behavior and offers him more accurate suggestions and better search results over time. The heart of the system is a large touch screen 13.2 inches, which provides quick access to the car's functions with an intuitively designed menu. Also in the case of Focus, some physical buttons are saying goodbye and moving to digital form. The SYNC4 system supports wireless connection with smartphones (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), natural speech recognition in 15. European languages and automatic system updates via Internet connection. A mobile app is available FordPass, which allows an overview of certain information such as location, fuel level, oil condition or even enables remote unlocking and starting of the car.
Photo: FordThe station wagon version of the redesigned Ford Focus has become even more so practical, and the cargo area is now upholstered with a textile covering with shorter fibers, which until now was only available in the Vignale equipment level. Thanks to the new material, the luggage compartment is more pleasant to the touch, and it will also be easier to clean. The trunk has a net for storing small things, a partition and a place for transporting wet things.

The exterior design is bolder, and they are available as an option 19-inch rims. The interior features new seats that offer plenty of comfort on the road and plenty of grip on the racetrack. The seats are certified by the recognized German organization for healthy backs AGR. It drives the Focus ST 2.3-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine with 280 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque. It is available with 6-speed manual transmission, and for an additional fee also with 7-speed automatic transmission. For sporty driving, the ST has available electronic differential lock and continuous damping control, which checks suspension, braking and steering data and that 500 times per second.
