With all the time we spend indoors these days, it's hard to find time to connect with nature. And this "new reality" is one of the driving forces behind Respire, a self-sustaining smart garden that is also a natural air purifier.
He's breathing it works much like a standard air purifier, with one huge (and green) exception. Air enters through the top of the device, where the washable pre-filter retains dust and large particles. This filtered air then passes through the hydroponic biologically active root zone - the wall 13 adaptable plants, whose roots capture and destroy toxins from the air. The air then exits through the front of the device and fills your living space with clean air, increased humidity, evaporative cooling and connects you with nature, which relieves stress.
Even the maintenance of the device is done in such a way that it will cause you as little stress as possible. Water only needs to be added every ten days, plant nutrients every six months, and the filter needs to be washed every few months. All the rest maintenance is automatically performed by the device itself, both plant health and air quality monitoring – all of which can be monitored in the Respira app. The Respira Natural Air Purifier is currently available on Kickstarter, where you will pay for it around 360 euros.
