MEDITERRANEAN SPIRIT Oštarija Pri Mari, as the owners Mara and her husband Tomi call it locally, was created as a result of the union of their families' traditions, which is in harmony with international Mediterranean cuisine. The Mediterranean spirit also permeates the atmosphere, which immediately pleasantly surprises us with the real old furniture, typical of old coastal inns. Upon entering, the guest feels the hospitality of the staff, who dedicate themselves to each guest individually. With an individual approach to service and the immediate preparation of food according to the guest's wishes, the experienced hosts have managed to win over the stomachs of the most sophisticated clientele, from ministers to renowned Slovenian musicians. These are exquisite dishes, among which you will always find fresh seafood specialties, such as octopus baked in a baking dish, sea bass in salt, sea bream in its own juice with spices, homemade gnocchi with shrimp tails and arugula. If you wish, they can also serve you noodles with truffles, raw mussels or one of the cold appetizers (marinated sardines, risotto with shrimp tails and saffron, shrimp cocktail).
