Smrekra's temple is dead, long live Atelje. The famous restaurant of Hotel Union, which has been open since 1903, has turned over a new leaf. After 30 years, it underwent a thorough renovation, which took place on a conceptual, spatial as well as culinary level, and it also changed its name. "Tell me what you eat and I'll cook you better", they say. Challenge accepted! Welcome to the most modern restaurant in Ljubljana.

Famous Spruce Temple is history. She came Atelje restaurant! Although it continues the story of the famous Union Hotel restaurant, it has distanced itself from it quite a bit. A case of conceptually a completely different restaurant, so it is logical that they cut the umbilical cord with the name and now v former premises Smrekarjev hram invites Atelier.
It is created and maintained by a conductor who is not yet thirty years old Jorg Zupan, one of the most promising chefs in our country, who trained in a restaurant Promenade in Bled at Binet Volčič, at Sydney's top restaurant Quaya, in London's Michelin-awarded restaurant Pied a Terre and in To the shooter at to Igor Jagodic. Despite its early years, it is one of the few Slovenian ones of chefs with extensive experience from abroad.

Even though it's Atelier part of the Union Hotel, is open to external guests. The menu is based on Slovenian and international cuisine, and all plates are author's. Among others, in the Atelier they ripen their own cheese, make bread, yogurt and kefir, and pickle vegetables. All raw materials are seasonal, but you can also order Krškopolja, which is an autochthonous Slovenian breed of pig. In addition to a rich stock of wines, they also serve local wines craft beers, and they also mix it for you house cocktail.
