The House of Slovenian Design, a "pop-up" apartment, equipped with Slovenian products, has opened its doors

Home of Slovenian design – a pop-up apartment in Ljubljana

On October 17, 2016, a pop-up apartment opened its doors at Dunajska cesta 177, furnished exclusively with Slovenian design products. We will be able to discover what is hidden in it until November 3, 2016. During this time, many events will also take place in the apartments. The home of Slovenian design is the successor and even more ambitious pop-up apartment project I Feel design, which briefly opened its doors in July in Berlin.

The home of Slovenian design is a replica of a successfully presented concept pop-up apartment, furnished with Slovenian products, under the name I Feel Design in Berlin (they opened it July 2016). He opened his duri in Ljubljana. That's where the credit goes 34 Slovenian designers and companies, who, under the leadership of the cultural association Ropot, closed the ranks and created a Slovenian version of the apartment that opens the door during the design month.

The Home of Slovenian Design will be on display until November 3, 2016.

Ljubljana's version of a Berlin apartment is even more ambitious than the German one, as more than 30 brands will be presented here, in contrast to the one in Berlin pop-up apartments, where there were 'only' 18 visiting authors. The authors of the apartment were Rok Avsec, Tina Semolič and Ana Gruden.

The apartment is located in a multi-apartment building called Viennese mosaics (architectural bureau Abira), and is fully functional. It has a kitchen, a dining room, a bedroom, a living room and a work corner, so you don't feel like you've entered a showroom. Here, the visitor can not only find out everything about the exhibited products, but also touch and try them. Events will also take place in the apartment, namely consulting rooms, workshop and cooking events. The project was carried out in cooperation with City of real estate.
