A good year after the opening of the boutique hotel in Jezersko, the Vile Planinka restaurant is also open for external guests. Their plates are full of local, organic ingredients, which their chefs weave into culinary stories based on traditional recipes of the Lake District. They also add that their food is also delicious because it is grown, prepared and served with love!

V Villa Planinka restaurant they rely mainly on local growers and adapt significantly to the time of year. Theirs chef Jakob Jerala believes in current inspiration, which is why spontaneous menus are created even during morning visits to local suppliers and walks through the forest. The menu is therefore constantly changing and supplemented based on inspiration from nature. It consists of typical local ingredients such as lamb, herbs and dairy products, and these are produced by the surrounding organic boutique breeders and growers.
The menu is accompanied by an increasingly rich wine list with 125 Slovenian wine labels. In most cases it is about boutique, biodynamic wines and organic production. However, they strive to complete their collection so that they can offer their guests 200 quality Slovenian wines.
In its first year, the Vila Planinka restaurant was already rated with a two Gault & Millau caps (14.5). At a time when Slovenia is becoming the European Gastronomic Region 2021, Vila Planinka can also boast of being ranked among Bib Gourmand candidates – "rising stars" who have the potential for the first Michelin star. At the end of March join the Restaurant Week (from 20 to 29 March), when guests will be offered to meet, experience and really feel them in a very limited quantity.
