This year's Olympic Games represent a rare opportunity for today's players. Have you ever dreamed that you might win an Olympic medal?

Even as a child. I have always loved watching the Olympics, but I never thought that one day I would be a part of this event. Especially since golf has not been an Olympic sport for more than a hundred years. But now he's back and the performance itself will be a dream come true.

Do you think the Olympics will help the development of golf?

There are still many countries in the world where golf is not part of the sporting tradition. The Olympics will be watched by billions of people and I think it will be a rare but important opportunity to showcase our sport and show how interesting and fun it can be. It's a tremendous moment for sharing and growing the game.

How has the support from the Spanish fans been so far?

Spain is very passionate about sports, especially when it comes to the Olympics. When athletes compete in them, the whole country supports them. I am proud to represent my country in golf. It is a unique event. But I know that the Spanish like to watch all kinds of sports and that the fans will support all Spanish athletes equally.

How about an Olympic golf course? How does a golfer experience it?

I haven't taken a closer look at the course, but at first glance it looks very interesting and may require some imagination and creativity. As it is a newly built course, it will be new for all players. It will represent an interesting test that the players will complete together for the first time.

At Rio 2016, Omega will introduce new spectator golf boards. They will show swing speed, distance, etc. at the initial stroke. Do you think this will improve the viewing experience?

I think it's great that new information is available in golf, and new technology will help make the spectator experience better. We have already tested certain technology at other PGA and European tournaments and I know it is popular. It will be interesting to see how the technology develops in Rio.

Many different fashion styles are seen in golf. How does an Omega watch enrich your personal style?

I have a pretty varied lifestyle and my wardrobe changes from sporty or dressy to more comfortable when I'm at home. The best thing about Omega watches is that they are suitable for any occasion. I can wear them anywhere.

Which Omega watch would you recommend to your teammates?

Since I've been wearing Omega watches, I've tried several watches, but right now I'm loving my Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon. If my teammates asked me for a recommendation, I would undoubtedly choose this watch.
