We are only a few days away from the start of the second most important sporting event in the world, the World Cup. Only the Summer Olympics attract a larger crowd of sports fans and, like every four years, the world will stand still this year between June 12 and July 13. Host Brazil will become the center of the universe and the entire globe will revolve around the leather ball. Brazil will host the competitions in twelve cities, and the most visited will certainly be Cidade maravilhosa, or "Wonderful City of Rio de Janeiro". We reveal to you where the hottest and most emotional parties in the most beautiful city are and where they will be during football fever.
Laranjeiras
Under the outstretched arms Christ the Savior, which reigns at the top of the Corcovado hill, lies the area of Laranjeiras, one of the oldest residential areas of Rio. It is also one of the greenest areas, which is confirmed by the name: Laranjeiras means orange groves. In addition to some famous buildings, for example Palacio Guanabara, which is the seat of the government of the state of Rio de Janeiro and where recent anti-government protests have often taken place, Laranjeiras has become known above all as a place where businessmen, students and artists meet after the end of the working day. It was this charm that attracted creative geniuses: the composer Heitor Villa-Lobos, the poet Cecília Meirelles and the architect Oscar Niemeyer. A neighborhood is also the home of one of the oldest football clubs in Brazil - Fluminense. Their stadium in Laranjeiras was also the first field on which the Brazilian national team played. Especially on weekends, the market is at its most lively São Salvador Square, but the most famous is the street Rua Alice, which hosts a popular street party during the infamous carnival. On this street, the beer is coldest in the classic "botec" or street tavern Father-in-law to Edgar, and higher up the street is the home of samba, jazz and funk nights, the former brothel, but today the extremely popular cultural center Casa Rosa. We can also prepare for the evening action all day long in the cafe and bar Maya, where you can sit down to breakfast and enjoy sandwiches and salads during lunch, and in the evening the bar turns into a lounge bar with a large selection of wines.

Ipanema
A scene that is very common in the most beautiful city in the world: a table in a bar where two men are sitting, discussing music and watching a passing beauty. But that's exactly how the most listened and played song of Brazil, the symbol of bossa nova, Dekle z Ipanema, by Vinicíus de Moraes and Tom Jobim, was created. A lot of time has passed since then and a lot has changed. The street that was called Montenegro, was named after one of the authors and is called today Rua Vinícius de Moraes, and the artist (if he were still alive) would have turned one hundred at the end of last year. The street stretches between a huge lake Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas and the beach, more precisely, the parts of the beach called Post 9, where the most beautiful and fashion-conscious inhabitants of Rio, called Carioce. Brazil's number one cocktail named caipirinha, on the beach or an ice cold beer at the bar Mosca, at the other end of the street, in which students regularly meet after lectures and surfers on their way from the beach - it doesn't matter which side we start from, on one of the main streets of Ipanema, all roads lead to the bar Garota de Ipanema, right at "the place crime", where the two artists watched the young beauty Helô Pinheiro swaying seductively on the way to the beach in the Veloso bar at the time. It's a bar today Garota de Ipanema a must for tourists, but there is also a restaurant with typical Brazilian dishes.

A paw
The center of Rio de Janeiro is divided into two parts: the financial center is an impersonal collection of high-rise office buildings, with here and there a beautiful building from the colonial era, and A paw, an area right next to the business center, best known for the viaduct Arcos da Lapa, on which until recently ran the tram called bondinho, which connected Lapa with bohemian Santa Teresa. In the early twentieth century, Lapa was known as the Montmartre of South America, its streets were full of bars, cabarets, brothels and casinos, but in the forties the fun was over. When the capital was transferred to Brasilia and the Cariocas moved to the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, Lapa became synonymous with a run-down, dangerous area. Just as it was, Lapa began to attract artists and with the opening of clubs Carioca da Gema and Rio Scenario samba returned to the neighborhood. Today, Lapa is the area where the best parties take place, and you still go to the pub Boteco da Garrafa, the club Lapa 40 Graus, Antonio's bar and outdoor parties are best done with only a few reals in your pocket and without "tourist accessories" in the form of cameras and jewelry.

Santa Teresa
Winding alleys from the always lively Lapa lead to Santa Teresa, a beautiful area of Rio de Janeiro, hidden from all those who are only interested in football and beaches, but therefore even more attractive to all those who like to upgrade their entertainment with an excellent offer of art, colonial architecture and shops that, more than on the names of fashion brands, they build their reputation on the creativity of their designers. Right in Santa Teresa some of the most beautiful boutique hotels in Rio have opened recently. In addition to museums, a wonderful view of the city center and the Sugar Cone, Santa Teresa also has a bunch of institutions where you can have fun from morning to morning. A bar Simples, where real samba resounds every Wednesday evening, the so-called “samba de raiz”, bar and restaurant Bar do Mineiro, which is on the list of every true gourmet, Bar do Arnaud, which has been delighting locals with the food and music of the Brazilian Northeast for more than forty years, and Bar dos descansados, which is part of the boutique hotel Santa Teresa, are just a few of the addresses that are 'to blame' for the increasing concentration of visitors in the quarter._
