Rolls-Royce has unveiled its latest V12 coupe, the 2023 Black Badge Wraith Black Arrow. This model is a tribute to the Thunderbolt land speed recorder of the 1930s, which was difficult to spot on the salt flats due to its polished aluminum body. To improve visibility, a large black arrow with a yellow circle was drawn on the side, which inspired the striking exterior of the modern ʺblack arrowʺ.
Rolls-Royce Black Badge Wraith Black Arrow it has a gradient colored exterior that goes from silver at the front to black at the back, with yellow accents throughout. Celebration Silver and Black Diamond colors have a glass top coat applied for added visual impact. Colors and application techniques were perfected 18 months, making it one of the most complex colors ever created by Rolls-Royce.
Black Arrow's interior is yellow-black, from a new type of material called Club Leather. The front seats, steering wheel, dashboard, doors and rear seats are decorated with yellow accents. A special clock on the dash shows the Thunderbolt's record speed of 1938, and a yellow dot inside an arrow is visible on the special door sills, marking the car as one of 12 Wraith Black Arrow models. 2.117 the fiber-optic lights are arranged in a pattern that represents the night sky over Bonneville, as it was for Thunderbolt's record-setting run in 1938. The steering wheel even has a black mesh pattern on top of the rim, mimicking the markings on the salt flats, at the time of the record-breaking run.
Under the hood, the Black Arrow boasts the same unchanged V12-cylinder with 624 horsepower and 870 newton meters of torque as found in the Wraith Black Badge model. However, this engine has special yellow V12 lettering on the engine badge, identifying it as the final V12 model from Rolls-Royce, as all future models will be electric only. Unfortunately, all 12 examples of stunning prestige are already gone sold.
