Rufus Wainwright, one of the greatest vocalists, songwriters and performers of his generation, will perform in Cankarjev dom.
Rufus Wainwright will present himself to us in a solo version with piano as part of the promotional tour for the release of his upcoming new album Vibrate: The Best of Rufus Wainwright.
Rufus was born in New York, and grew up in Montreal, in his rich musical career, he released seven high-profile studio albums and two 'live' albums. For the album Rufus Does Judy At Carnegie Hall he also received a prestigious award grammy. We have also heard his music many times in films such as Moulin Rouge and Brokeback Mountain. He is also known for his stage presence, which leaves no one indifferent.
As a great entertainer and top musician, Rufus has worked with many world music giants such as Pet Shop Boys, Shirley Bassey, Elton John, Antony, David Byrne, Joni Mitchell, Robert Wilson, Lou Reed, Boy George, Mark Ronson and Robbie Williams.
