Meet Stepan, a domesticated bear who lives in Moscow with Svetlana and Yury Panteleenko. The Panteleen bears adopted the orphan when he was only three months old and in very poor condition. 23 years later he is healthy and happy and still lives with them even though he has become the size of a closet!
Stepan it is not common pet. He is a bear. A bear in its full size, but behaving like a dog or a cat, for a moment even like a human. His fate could have been quite different otherwise. Namely, when the hunters found him in the old man's forest three months, was in very poor condition and for culling, Svetlana and Yuriy Panteleenko but they didn't have the heart to leave him to a cruel fate, so they took him into their home and wrote one of the strangest pet stories.

Even more so than being a bear he walks freely after their apartment, it is a surprising fact that the Panteleen do not live somewhere deep in the forest, but in the middle of Moscow. Stepan not only likes to cuddle, but also helps with housework. "Stepan loves people and is very sociable. Regardless of what people think, he is not aggressive," says Svetlana, adding that he has never bitten them. 23 year old he sings daily 25 kilograms of fish, vegetables and eggs, keeps in shape by playing soccer and also likes to pose for the camera.
