New - Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is coming in summer 2025 with a larger screen, more powerful hardware and a fresh design. Among the new features are also mentioned advanced features such as the DeX desktop mode - but the most exciting thing will be the redesign of the user experience in closed mode. What do we know about the newcomer, which is the best flip phone at the moment. And the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will certainly be the most popular flip phone of 2025.

Years ago, a flip phone was synonymous with something you put on the table to impress at a bar. Today? Is it folding technology mature, practical and – surprisingly – still pretty cool. With each passing year, Samsung has been refining its formula with the Z Flip series: take a smartphone, fold it in half and add just the right amount of futuristic aesthetics. And Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7? This one goes a step further – with a subtle but clever upgrade to almost every key element.

Larger external display – Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7: When the “cover” became a real screen

If you are at Z Flip 6 Ever thought that a 3.4-inch external display is cute but a bit limited – Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will finally reward your patience. According to the latest information, the new external display will grow to almost 4 inches and stretched across almost the entire front surface. In other words: almost everything you used to do inside will now be possible outside. No opening. No effort. No compromise.

Some will take this as an excuse to never open their phone again – you know, more screen, more laziness.

Inner screen and fold: almost crease-free, almost borderless

Samsung has also taken a step forward with the internal display. The display remains Dynamic AMOLED 2X, but it should be stretched diagonally to about 6.8 inches (With fewer bezels, of course.) And that unfortunate crease in the middle that marred some previous Zen models? This time, it's reportedly been smoothed out even more - almost like Botox for the screen.

Although the differences may seem cosmetic on paper, in practice, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 they mean more enjoyment when watching videos, browsing, and everything else we already do too much of.

Hardware: Everything a power user could want – except maybe a microSD card

The heart of the phone will (very likely) be Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 – a new beastly chip labeled “Elite,” which, by its very name, promises to know what you’re doing before you know it. In certain regions, Samsung may still choose its own Exynos 2500, which is like ordering coffee abroad: you're never quite sure what exactly you're going to get, but at least it'll be hot and fast.

12 GB of RAM remains standard, storage will be possible in 256GB or 512GB. MicroSD slots? Of course not. It's 2025 after all – phone space is precious, but additional slots are clearly passé. But hey, at least USB-C is here.

Battery and charging: Still modest, but a little less so

4300mAh is said to be the new number, which represents a slight improvement over the Flip 6. While this still doesn't translate to two-day autonomy, it will be sufficient for most people. Charging remains at 25 W, which seems almost archaic in the age of 80-watt chargers – but Samsung clearly swears by slow maturation, like a good wine. Or at least as good PR.

Cameras: No drama, just enough intelligence

The Z Flip series has never been the flagship of photography, but 50 MP main sensor, 12 MP ultrawide and ~10MP selfie camera are a competent enough combination for all but the most picky mobile photographers. The software will do most of the magic here – with the new chip, AI improvements should make even your average photos Instagram-worthy (or at least Google Photos-worthy).

And yes, you can still take a selfie with Flex mode – set up your phone as a mini tripod, frame your shot using the external display, and with one click take a shot that will look like you have a personal photographer with you. But in reality, it's just physics, clever design, and a bit of imagination.

Software: Android 15 + One UI 7 = a bright future

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 will run on Android 15 with a renewed One UI 7 An interface that will be even more adapted to foldable devices. Larger screens will be better utilized, Flex mode will be even more flexible, and the user interface will be more transparent and lively.

Samsung is betting even more on the new generation Galaxy AI, which means your phone will be able to edit your photos, anticipate what you need (sometimes more than your better half), and maybe even convince you to finally reply to those unopened emails.

And yes, among all the functionalities there is also the option DeX – but this time Samsung is not highlighting it as the central star, but more as a handy accessory for those who know how to turn their phone into a tool and not just a fashion accessory.

Design: If it ain't broke, don't fix it - just make it a little prettier

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 retains what made the series iconic: thin metal frame, robust hinge and elegant foldable body, which easily hides in any pocket, purse or even a minimalist wallet.

The exterior will most likely get some new colors (Samsung's fashion whims have become almost expected), and the latest Gorilla Glass, and water resistance remains at the level IPX8 – so yes, you can accidentally throw it in the water, but don't let it fall into the sandbox. Dust? Still taboo.

Price and outcome: Premium remains premium (but maybe it will also be “FE”)

If you're already tempted by the Flip 7, get your wallet ready. Prices will range around €1,100–1,300., depending on the capacity and your negotiating talent with the operator. We expect a presentation July 2025, along with its bigger brother, the Fold 7.

But be careful: according to rumors, Samsung is also preparing Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE – a cheaper version that will trim some specs but retain the foldable form factor. If this comes to fruition, it would mean two Flip models in one season for the first time – one for those who want the best, and one for those who want the best, but with a few compromises (and a lower price).

Conclusion: Maturity with the addition of style Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is no longer an experiment. It's no longer a luxury for tech enthusiasts or fashion influencers. It's become a serious choice for anyone who wants something different - but at the same time useful, powerful, and beautiful.

Is this the best phone on the market? Probably not. Is it the most special? Very likely yes. And in a world where phones are becoming more and more similar, that's actually the biggest advantage you can have.
