Sexism is basically a term for gender discrimination. Sexist behavior can stem from traditional gender role stereotypes and can include the belief that people of one gender are inherently better than people of the other gender. Research shows that women experience significantly more sexism than men. But ladies, a man who treats you this way could have more problems in life than you think.

Journal of Counseling Psychology recently published the results of a study that showed that men who see themselves in a position of "superiority" over women or even as "playboys" are more likely to psychological problems like those men who do not have such an attitude. In addition, they are also much less inclined to seek treatment for these problems.

Scientists from Indiana University in Bloomington analyzed the behavior of 20,000 people. They studied the connection between mental health and social norms that society usually considers "masculine behavior" - the desire to win, self-confidence, risk-taking, power over women, the desire for social status and emotional control. In addition, they wanted to clarify the potential link between mental health and a person's tendency to seek help for potential mental health problems.

Researchers were able to demonstrate a link between men who felt the need to conform to typical male norms and poor mental health. In doing so, they proved that sexist guys who like to exploit women and want to have control over them, they are more likely to suffer from psychological problems.

In short, playboys who are sexist towards women are more likely to suffer from some form of untreated depression or other mental health issues. And as it turns out, you will also find it very difficult to help them, because they do not need this help. That's why it's better to direct to future generations and setting standards for young men to avoid the need to dominate women and the resulting psychological problems.
