If you are tired of social distancing and all the troubles that the new coronavirus has brought with it and you want to reconnect with nature, Seepod could be your dream come true! It is a floating cocoon-like micro-resort that offers travelers the opportunity to sleep in nature without compromising their comfort.

See under is a pop-up resort that focuses on a more sustainable and authentic experience. It is adapted to the increase in travel, eco-tourism, wellness vacations and the trend of alternative accommodation. With the design of the new generation of camping in tents, they want to Nomadic Resorts create a revolution of sorts, as it is possible to Seepod quickly and cheaply set up in remote locations.

Cocoon or seed-shaped tent (as its name suggests) it can be hung from a tree or placed on a pedestal. It is equipped with lighting, ceiling fan, mini fridge and charging station for devices, making it ideal for setting up along hiking trails, surf camps, or on safari.

The shape of the structure was crucial for the team – the natural shape of the seed is aerodynamic in itself. And when a team of engineers tested the structure with a computer wind model, it was found that smaller structural rings combined with a new generation of architectural fabric could cocoon survive winds of 120 km/h, so guests are safe even when there is a storm. Another critical consideration for the team was installation – they wanted to be able to quickly and quietly install the cocoon on pedestals in remote locations without the use of heavy machinery or power tools, which would keep costs down. Thus, they created a system that can be installed on almost any terrain simply with the help of an extra pair of hands, in one day, and it can stay there for at least a decade.

"Seeds are inherently full of potential," says creative director Olav Bruin. "That's why we created a multifunctional interior that can easily be transformed from a sofa set during the day to a bedroom at night. In this way, we use all the potential of a relatively compact space. Seepod can accompany fully equipped pop-up bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and wardrobe, with which we can achieve the ultimate camping experience. In the coming years, we hope that our family of cocoons will adapt, expand and evolve.”
