"You go your own way, but you never forget where you came from." Swedish-Bosnian football virtuoso Zlatan Ibrahimović and Volvo have shot Prologue, an emotional ad for the Volvo V90 model, with which the famous Swedish car brand begins a new chapter in its history, while not forgetting its roots, as well as the popular Ibrakadabra.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic rarely spreads. In the latest ad for Volvo V90 he does just that and shows his gentle side. The emphasis of the story is that he never forgot where he came from. It begins like this: “This is not my home. I come from elsewhere. My mother is from Croatia and my father is from Bosnia. But I grew up in this small suburb in Sweden.” And he continues: "I didn't have many things. Just your restless thoughts and big dreams. I wanted to go further than the others. Wherever I was, I worked harder than others. In Ajax, Juventus, Barcelona, Milan and Paris. I listened, but I didn't always obey. I knew what was good for me.”
The conclusion is the most profound: ”You go your own way, but you never forget where you came from.”

The naturalized Swede embodies many of the values of Volvo, with which he already made an attractive appearance in 2014 ad for Volvo XC70. "The campaign (for the Volvo V90, op.p.) celebrates independence of thought and the power that comes from the ability to think differently. There are many similarities between Zlatan's journey and Volvo's. Even at Volvo, we didn't get to our achievements by imitating everyone else," he reflected Anders Gustafsson, Vice President of the Volvo Car Group for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
