When British duo Sigma, behind Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie, created the All Blue piece in 2007, it was clear that the young man's journey was far from over here. On the contrary - she brought them so far that we will also hear their hits from last year, such as Nobody to Love, Changing and Rudeboy, live on May 1st.
While today everyone knows them as a hit maker Nobody to Love, excellent renderings of the piece Bound 2 by Kanye West, and Changing with unique vocals Paloma Faith in the foreground, are Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie started mixing tracks in drum'n'bass almost a decade ago. The very piece mentioned above All Blue penetrated the pores of fractured rhythms that shot them all the way to the heart of electronic dance music.
Despite the fact that it is Sigma worked and created for a short time as a trio, of which he was also a part Ben Mauerhoff, the duo persisted, starting their own label in 2008 Life Recordings, where it was released as the first product El Presidente VIP Remix, as well as two short albums Night & Day Part 1 and Part 2.
Sigma, as Cameron said in one of the interviews, in its beginnings drew inspiration from artists within drum'n'bass, from the giant To Andy C, for example, which is coming to Club K4 in April, and the sounds of earlier works also made their mark Bad Companyy Ed Rush & Optical and Tracea.
Today, Cameron and Joe have grown musically into mature producers who share the work remotely, as one lives in Manchester, the other further south, but this in no way affects their production. After they really conquered the clubs last year with the piece Nobody to Love, they seduced further. Collaboration with Paloma Faith opened the door for them deeper into the electronic dance scene. Although they still remain loyal to the harder rhythms of drum'n'bass, this year they added another piece to their musical highlights Higher, in which an English singer also took up the job Labyrinth.
Will this be good enough proof that on May 1 we will be floating in Byblos, Poreč, from such good music? Definitely. Sigma also joins the Spring Break Special event as a treat during Spring Break Festivals, among other things Vanillaz and Wyle Dux.
