The SIGMA fp family has a new member: the new SIGMA fp L camera has joined. It is a full-frame camera that is so compact that you can almost put it in your pocket, and it also features a 61 MP sensor, which is more than to any Sigma camera to date!
When it's Sigma introduced by fp in 2019, it was described as the smallest and lightest full-frame camera. But technology moves at an incredible speed and Sigma has prepared for 2021 fp L, which has the same chassis as the original fp, but has more than double the resolution.
Like fp it is also Sigma fp L full-frame mirrorless camera with Bayer sensor with backlight. But while the fp's sensor was 24.6MP, the fp's L an incredible 61 MP. It's not only double the size of the exciting fp model that debuted two years ago, but it's also the highest-resolution camera Sigma has produced to date.
In addition to the big jump in resolution, the fp L also introduces some other innovations. Added ability to run continuously on USB-C power, new intelligent hybrid AF system, which uses contrast detection and state-of-the-art phase shift autofocus, and the function Crop Zoom for high-resolution photos and HD video, with which you can record or take photos in HD resolution with up to five times zoom without digital image enhancement.
So there really is a lot of technology in this small package! The Sigma fp L is already available for pre-order for around 2,500 euros.
