These proteins are said to have positive effects on health, such as regulating metabolism, improving cellular function and promoting longevity.

The Sirtfood diet has two main phases

Phase 1: calorie restriction and consumption of Sirtfood foods

During this phase, which usually lasts a week, a low number of calories is consumed and the focus is on sirtuin-rich foods.

Foods rich in sirtuins:

  • Dark chocolate (with a high cocoa content): Rich in flavonoids, which are said to have positive effects on health.

Drinks and meals containing this are consumed during this phase foods, and the total daily caloric intake is limited to approximately 1000 calories.

Phase 2: Maintenance and continued consumption of Sirtfood foods

After the calorie restriction phase, gradually increase calorie intake and continue to include a variety of Sirtfood foods in the diet. The goal is to maintain a balanced diet and continue to take advantage of the potential positive effects of sirtuins.
