After a long 'teaser' campaign, Škoda Kamiq is only with us. The smallest of Škoda's SUVs or crossovers has a slightly different design compared to the larger Koidaq and Karoq. A different style, mainly to convince younger customers even more.
Shame on the Kamiq is to the Skoda Karoq what the Volkswagen T-Cross is to the Volkswagen Tiguan. More by design relaxed and more more compact version of the car, targets among buyers at younger audience. The lines are just as sharp as those of current Škodas, with the exception of the headlights, where daytime running lights and other lights separated from each other.
Although the Škoda Kamiq was shod with huge rims in the sketches, the production model may have the largest rims in size 18-inch. It measures in length 424 centimeters, which is comparable to the Opel Crossland X, and it has 400 liters of luggage space, which can be expanded to 1,395 liters. The interior does not differ much from that of the Škoda Scala, which was introduced not long ago. Better equipped versions will be able to have digital gauges in the size 10.25-in, a touchscreen infotainment system, can measure 6,5-, 8- or 9.2-inch.
The Škoda Kamiq will be powered by familiar engines, namely 1.0 liter three-cylinder s 115 horsepower and 1.5 liter four-cylinder s 150 horsepower. A diesel engine has a displacement 1.6-liter and 115 horsepower, and the engine that powers it is also available compressed natural gas. It will be available for an additional fee automatic DSG gearbox, and four-wheel drive it won't available. We will be able to see the Škoda Kamiq live for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show, and it will hit the roads towards end of this year. As an interesting fact, we should add that Kamiq in the Inuit language it means something to use in any situation feels good and has its own character.
