We are already used to renovations in the middle of a car's life cycle being more or less cosmetic - but this time the ŠKODA Superb surprised us, not only with an improved design, but also with an electric future.
ŠKODA Superb she has already established her name well and represents herself top Damages offer. Their standard-bearer has received a makeover - the biggest changes can be seen at the rear, where the logo has been replaced by an inscription DAMAGE, as we have already seen with Scala and Kamiq. The lights in full LED technology have been slightly modified graphics and active turn signals. They are in front matrix headlights, which is another innovation for the brand.
But even more exciting is the news about connected hybrid Superb iV – combination electric motor, 1.4 liter gasoline engine and 13-kWh battery will be enough for 55 kilometers fully electric driving and 850 kilometers long journey with a full tank of fuel. He also joined the offer Superb Scout, which will appeal most to those who need a car for more demanding terrain.
The engines in the ŠKODA Superb are the already familiar diesel and petrol engines, while the novelty is the already mentioned plug-in hybrid - common the power of the gasoline and electric motors is 218 (160 kW) horsepower.
The plug-in hybrid will have things available because of the additional built-in smaller luggage space. The limousine version has it for 485 liters, and the caravan for 510 liters. For comparison: 'ordinary' limousine The Superb has a sizeable trunk 625 liters, caravan and in size 660 liters.
ŠKODA Superb Scout has, compared to the 'regular' Superb for 15 mm higher ground clearance and additionally protected chassis. Four wheelers drive in this case it is already serial, and the driver will have something available "gadgets", which will come in handy for off-road driving. Only more powerful engines will be available in the Scout model, otherwise the latest ŠKODA Superb will be on the road in beginning of 2020.
