50 years ago, Slovenian mountaineers tackled the peaks of the Himalayas for the first time. The expedition to Trisul brought valuable experience to our mountaineers and provided a suitable starting point for the increasingly ambitious conquest of the world's highest mountain in the coming decades. At the same time as the mountaineering feats, Slovenians began to get to know the mysterious, remote lands under the Himalayas for the first time. We will present their colorful culture with the legacy of journalist and traveler Zoran Jerin and objects from other private collections and the National Museum of Slovenia.
