In Ljubljana, thanks to the studio for architecture and urbanism Arhitektura doo, a special atrium house has grown, which is intended for both living and working. The client's wish was a home that would offer the same quality both for living and for working in the studio.
Although this Slovenian atrium house is made of two parts - living and working - their integration is so seamless that it is difficult to distinguish where the first ends and the second begins. It is a U-shaped object consisting of three wings: the main living area is located in the middle, next to it is the sleeping area on one side and the artist's studio on the other.
Next to the atrium, they extend intoelike window surfaces, which extend from floor to ceiling and connect the interior with the exterior. The interior facade is therefore almost entirely glass, while the exterior is made of smooth concrete, thus clearly demarcating the building from its surroundings and directing the view to the central courtyard.
The interior of the house is in line with the minimalist exterior that adorns it terrazzo floor, natural shades, details in ash color, oak wooda ter white walls.
The set of all characteristics creates harmonious, calm atmosphere, perfect for artistic creation.
