The most brutal Smart ever – 475 kW of power, 3.8 seconds to 100 km/h and 21-inch road holding – this is the Smart #5 Brabus. But don't worry – you can still drive to grandma's.
Smart used to be that funny little car that you almost had to park in a lift. Well, times are changing – and the Smart #5 BRABUS is here to completely challenge your memory of the “city kid”. Together with the legendary tuner BRABUS, they created an electric SUV that sounds like a supercar and accelerates like a race car, while maintaining all the advantages of smart mobility. Elegantly brutal? Absolutely.
Exterior: BRABUS muscle car
The exterior of the Smart #5 BRABUS looks like the result of a genetic experiment between a Tesla Model Y and an AMG G-Wagen. The sharp lines, brutal stance and color contrasts with the red brakes are pure aesthetics of power. On the 21-inch BRABUS Monoblock Z wheels in a dual finish (black and polished) it looks as if it could cross over to the racetrack at any moment.
Of course, there is also the BRABUS logo, so that no one will think that this is an “ordinary” electrician. Exclusive exterior color variants further emphasize its uniqueness – this is not an SUV for the shy.
Powertrain: Electrics that roar
Beneath the sleek, aggressive exterior lies an electric beast: 475 kW (643 hp) of system power and all-wheel drive. Acceleration to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds is enough to make you feel like you're in a Gran Turismo game, not an SUV.
The platform is based on an 800-volt architecture, enabling charging up to incredible 400 kW – battery with capacity 100 kWh thus, it is filled from 10 % to 80 % in just 18 minutes. Reach? What? 540 kilometers (335 miles) according to WLTP. This is no longer just a city car – it's an electric marathon runner.
And yes – it also has an artificial engine sound in BRABUS mode. Why? Because quiet is not always better.
Interior: A technological penthouse on four wheels
When you get in, you feel like you've stepped into a luxury electric yacht. Microfiber seats, ventilated in the front and heated in the rear, an illuminated steering wheel covered in Alcantara, and ambient lighting with as many as 256 color options.
Infotainment? Main OLED screen in the center, another additional one 13-inch screen just for the passenger (because why not?), along with an exclusive audio system Sennheiser Signature SoundThis has 20 speakers, including a center-firing speaker, and creates 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos sound with the power 1,190W. It's like IMAX, except it drives.

Conclusion: No more “Smart as a city car” – this is BRABUS
The Smart #5 BRABUS is proof that the brand is no longer just a cute city car, but a full-fledged player on the electric playground. With figures that would be the envy of models from Maranello or Affalterbach, and an interior that is closer to business class than family car, the #5 BRABUS is anything but a “smart car”. It is brutal, engineered and at the same time surprisingly useful.
Prices have not been officially revealed yet, but considering that the basic Smart #5 costs around 47,000 euros, expect the BRABUS version to be around there. 65,000–70,000 eurosWhich, to be honest, is very fair considering the capabilities, equipment, and the fact that it easily outshines most luxury SUVs.
So if you want something unique, electric and bold enough to stand out at every intersection – the Smart #5 BRABUS is exactly that. And it's emissions-free.
