Surprising foods to eat while dieting

A diet does not mean that you have to swallow everything that is good from your mouth. Because if you want to lose a few pounds, if you want your exercise to pay off and still have an active social life, it's good to start realizing that the calories you eat count, after all. Shawn M Talbott, a nutritionist and biochemist, is one of many experts who believes that weight loss is 75 percent diet and 25 percent exercise. So what kind of food can we afford when eating out? Here are surprising foods that can be eaten even while on a diet.

1. Burgers.

Craving a gourmet burger? The damage we can do by ordering a bacon cheeseburger and fries is enormous. A burger has around 1900 kilocalories. If we order a burger without bread, we have already removed 260 kilocalories. It's even better if we order a grilled cheese sandwich. This has around 470 kilocalories.

2. Goat cheese.

Cheese lovers can "cheat" with goat cheese (30 grams of cheese has about 75 kilocalories) or Camembert cheese, which has about 85 kilocalories per slice of roughly the same size. Let's avoid cheddar cheese - 30 grams can contain 120 kilocalories.

3. Steak.

Steak is full of iron, protein and vitamin B12. But a fatty piece of meat can do a lot of damage. When we order steak, they ask the waiter if we can have roast beef. 100 grams of slice has around 200 kilocalories.

4. Chicken tikka (Indian paprikash).

Let's avoid the Indian snacks bhajji and samosa - each of them contains 65 kilocalories. Traditional warm Indian bread (naan), which can have up to 650 kilocalories, should also be rejected. Also avoid creamy curries such as korma or pasanda. Tandoori is usually a safe choice as the meat is grilled rather than fried.

5. Bread.

We all know that the appeal of bread is incredible and the temptation is great. Rye bread is wheat-free and has about 20 percent fewer calories than a slice of white French bread. Whole grain pita bread is another excellent choice - it contains fewer calories than black bread.
