Planet of the Cubes 2016: come and see the Lego replica of the Congress Square

Attention Lego lovers! Planet kock 2016 is approaching, an exhibition of Lego creations, Lego workshops and Lego competitions on more than 1000 square meters! The Planet of the Cubes will be held at the Gospodarski raštavišče from December 1 to 4, 2016. Among other things, you will come across a Lego replica of the Congress Square, Snežnik Castle and Big Ben, as well as a scene from the movie Saving the Soldier. Fans of Star Wars and robotics will also benefit.

Exhibition: Tone Lapajne, guardian of the memory of the planet Earth

Until March 5, 2017, a retrospective exhibition of Tone Lapajna: Memory of the Earth is on view in the Jakopič Gallery, which represents the pinnacle of Lapajne's oeuvre in various art genres. It is the artist's first overview exhibition and for the first time it is accompanied by a monograph in which all his phases and cycles are illuminated.

Frankfurt after Frankfurt 2016 – jubilee sales exhibition of foreign books under the sign of green

The jubilee sales exhibition of foreign books Frankfurt after Frankfurt 2016 is approaching, which will traditionally be held at the Konzorcij bookstore. The ceremonial opening of the thirtieth exhibition will take place on November 14, 2016 in front of the Ljubljana City Hall. Just as ecology is the red thread of Ljubljana this year due to the title of Green Capital of Europe 2016, the same applies to Frankfurt after Frankfurt, which appears under the slogan 'I read green'. Books on the topic of ecology and nature protection are in the foreground. There will also be two lectures on the topic of ecology on the opening day. The sales fair will take place until November 19, 2016.

On October 17, 2016, a pop-up apartment opened its doors at Dunajska cesta 177, furnished exclusively with Slovenian design products. The home of Slovenian design is the successor and even more ambitious pop-up apartment project I Feel design, which briefly opened its doors in July in Berlin.
